BTC Europe the latest organisation to join Eurobitume

BTC Europe GmbH, BASF's European sales organisation for small and medium-sized customers focused on specialty chemicals - including additives which are mixed with bitumen for use in specific applications - has joined Eurobitume as an Associate Member, and is the sixth organisation to become part of the European Bitumen Association in the last 12 months.

Franz Saif (left), Director International Business for BTC Europe GmbH, a BASF Group Company, explained, “We wanted to join Eurobitume because it is the single, strong voice of the European bitumen industry.
“Membership not only gives us access to a wealth of valuable technical and HSE information, but also provides excellent opportunities to build additional, valuable relationships with key European stakeholders and to be actively involved in wider initiatives that support the safe and effective use of bitumen.”

Dr. Marko Grozdanovic, Managing Director of BTC Europe GmbH, said: “BTC’s strengths lie in our knowledge of the industry, based on many years of experience and the proximity to our customers. We keep ourselves close to the industry, which helps us to fully focus on the specific expectations of each individual customer and to produce tailor-made service packages for them”.

Eurobitume Director General Aimé Xhonneux commented: “I am delighted to welcome BTC Europe GmbH as an Associate Member of Eurobitume, where it is able to benefit from a wealth of expert advice, technical industry information and safety guidance.”

As well as developing and communicating industry positions on important technical, HSE and regulatory issues, Eurobitume also promotes the efficient, effective and safe use of refined bitumen. Eurobitume is the unique voice of the bitumen industry in Europe and a highly respected and credible international association.

In the last 12 months, the other five organisations which have joined Eurobitume are: Italian oil group api and vertically integrated midstream and downstream oil group Puma Energy joined as Core Members, while Antwerp Terminal and Processing Company (ATPC), owner of one of the largest dedicated bitumen processing plants in Europe, international bitumen haulier HOYER Bitumen-Logistik GmbH and international polymer and additives producer Kraton all joined Eurobitume as Associate Members.
