New ADR 2009 Instructions in Writing

Recent changes in ADR regulations modify substantially the responsibility for informing the transport crew about safety matters. It also changes the presentation of the safety information:

  1. The responsibility for informing the driver(s) about safety procedures and regulations is moving from the consignor of the product transported to the carrier. This information has to be made in the language(s) of the crew.

  2. The new instructions in writing comprise 4 pages, which are common to all dangerous goods and an optional annex specific to the product transported.

In order to facilitate the process for carriers to inform their drivers, Eurobitume has developed  “Additional Information to the ADR 2009 Instructions in Writing”, a document which regroups the specific safety information related to the transport of hot bitumen and is available in several languages.

These documents can be downloaded below. It is planned that 23 language versions will be available and published on this page. If your required language has not yet been published, and is currently listed under work in progress, please check again at a later date.
