Safety Data Sheets

Safety data sheets (SDS) provide information on known health, safety and environmental hazards and indicate appropriate measures to reduce any identified risks. Although bitumen is not classified as a hazardous substance, bitumen suppliers voluntarily provide sfety data sheets to their customers to ensure safe handling in the workplace.

As a result of REACH, and the adoption of the Globally Harmonised System in Europe through the CLP Regulation, the format and content of safety data sheets will change significantly over the coming months. As the implications for bitumen products are clarified Eurobitume will provide additional information and guidance
