Christophe Jacquet, President
Senior international bitumen marketing and oil & gas industry professional Christophe Jacquet was elected as President of Eurobitume at the Association’s Spring Meeting in April 2018.
Christophe holds a Masters in Marketing from the HEC Paris international business school, which he attended after studying Mechanical Engineering at specialist French engineering school ESTACA (L'École Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile).
He spent the first eight years of his career with Elf, first with Elf Antar in Paris, and then as a Network Manager for Elf Oil in Ghana and a Marketing Manager for Elf Oil Senegal.
Christophe left Elf in 2000 and has been with TOTAL ever since: occupying senior roles for the company in Guinea, Niger and Uganda before returning to Paris for two years - when he worked in the TOTAL Downstream head office. He then spent two years in San Juan, heading up TOTAL Puerto Rico, before his promotion to Executive Vice President South America for Downstream TOTAL Americas – where he was responsible for supervising and animating all downstream activities of the TOTAL group in South America, and speeding up the development of TOTAL’s subsidiaries in this newly created zone, from TOTAL’s regional head office in Panama.
Since August 2016, Christophe has been VP Bitumen for TOTAL Marketing and Services, where he is responsible for all bitumen management and development worldwide for TOTAL’s downstream branch.
Alongside his paid roles with TOTAL, Christophe has been actively involved with various industry bodies, organisations and associations including CCEF (Conseil du Commerce Extérieur de la France) in Niger and Uganda, and GPP (Groupement des Professionnels du Pétrole) in Niger, Uganda and Puerto Rico. Christophe was President of GPP in Niger and has been on the board of Eurobitume since April 2017.
