Dave Foster - Treasurer

Experienced oil and gas industry professional Dave Foster was elected as Eurobitume Treasurer at the Association’s Spring Meeting in April 2024.

A Shell employee since 1989, for the last 15+ years Dave has held commercial roles within the Shell Bitumen business and is currently the Country Business Manager responsible for the UK and Ireland cluster. The promotion of a strong HSSE culture, technological developments and a sustainable portfolio of products play an integral part of Dave’s day-to-day activities.

Dave is a previous President, Vice-President and Treasurer of Eurobitume. For a number of years he chaired the former local Eurobitume UK initiative, working closely with counterparts within the UK industry to actively promote the safe use of bitumen, before Eurobitume’s restructure at the end of 2023.

He also sits on the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA) committee, an alliance between Eurobitume and the Mineral Products Association. This has had noticeable success highlighting the need for continuous investment in the UK road infrastructure through vehicles such as the ALARM survey, the Local Government Association and All-Party Parliamentary Group networks.
