New manager at Eurobitume UK

David Giles is the new manager of Eurobitume UK, where he is applying his wealth of knowledge and experience - gained during more than 35 years within Shell, latterly as Global Business Development Manager - to promote the efficient, safe use of bitumen in road, industrial and building projects in the UK, and help create a positive environment for sustained bitumen demand.

David took over from UK bitumen industry stalwart Chris Southwell, who retired after 42 years in the sector.

Eurobitume UK's new Manager, David Giles, commented: "It is a great pleasure to be working in the UK bitumen industry again, helping drive the industry forward and reconnecting with old friends and colleagues."

Outside work, David is actively involved in scouting and is a Group Scout Leader. He is also a keen musician, plays guitar and sings in folk clubs as a member of a band called Bitter and Twisted, and would love to ride across the USA on a motorcycle - although not on a Harley!
