2015 UK ALARM Survey published

UK |

The UK Annual Local Authority Road Maintenance (ALARM) survey 2015 has just been published by the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA).

The 2015 report is based upon the findings of an independent survey of all local authority highways departments in England and Wales, commissioned by the AIA to gain an understanding of the general condition of the local road network. This year's report reveals almost 2.7 million potholes were filled in the last year, around a third more than the previous 12 months, and local authorities still need over £12 billion to bring the local road network up to scratch - the same amount reported last year. The full report can be downloaded from the AIA website - www.asphaltuk.org.
