All Party Parliamentary Group for Better Roads reformed in the UK

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Better Roads, previously known as the APPG on Highways, is supported by the Asphalt Industry Alliance (AIA) - a partnership between Eurobitume UK, the Mineral Products Association (MPA) and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE).

Comprising members from the House of Commons and the House of Lords with an interest in roads, the APPG for Better Roads has been reformed and had its inaugural meeting in the Palace of Westminster, London, on May 17.

At the meeting, chaired by APPG for Better Roads chair Sir Christopher Chope MP, Group members confirmed the name change, which better reflects its work advocating the safety, environmental, social and economic cases for a properly maintained and sustainable road network.

There was also an opportunity for the AIA to highlight the findings of its 2022 ALARM survey to UK Parliamentarians. Further information about the APPG for Better Roads can be found at: https://www.appg-betterroads.org/
