Announcement reminder for 3rd and 4th members-only e-learning webinars

Following the success of Eurobitume’s first two educational e-learning webinars for members, the series continues in September with two further sessions:

  • Webinar3: ‘From crude to bitumen – a guide to manufacturing methods’, on Wednesday 14th
  • Webinar 4: ‘Specification systems for bitumen – a global perspective’, on Wednesday 21st.

Aimed at non-technical individuals wishing to improve their knowledge and awareness of bitumen and related activities, attendance to these restricted access training webinars is only open to individuals from Eurobitume member organisations.

Anyone from a member organisation who wants to attend one or both of these webinars but has not yet received an email invitation, should either contact someone within their own organisation who participates directly in one of Eurobitume committees and ask them to forward the webinar invitation, or alternatively send an email to: siobhan.mckelvey(at)eurobitume.eu.

Seminar 1
 In early June, more than 150 participants from member companies attended the inaugural webinar, ‘What is bitumen?’. The presentation provided a good, basic understanding of what a fascinating product bitumen is and was followed by a lively Q&A session.

Seminar 2
 Later in June, over 100 participants attended the ‘Bitumen and sustainability’ webinar and increased their awareness of how bitumen plays an important role in providing sustainable solutions for future construction. As was the case with the first webinar, following the presentation there was a very interactive Q&A session.

The slides, speaker notes and recordings of both these live presentations will be made available to all members as a complete learning package, which will be accessible through the Eurobitume members intranet.

Details and dates about the two remaining member webinars that will be held later this year will be communicated soon.
