Frank-Michael Biel: New Eurobitume Vice-President

Eurobitume welcomes Frank-Michael Biel from TOTAL as our new Vice-President and we wish him success as he supports us in our mission, ‘to promote the efficient, safe use of bitumen in road, industrial and building projects and create a positive environment for a sustained bitumen demand’, on behalf of our members.

Frank has taken over from Christophe Jacquet, who changed roles within TOTAL. As Vice-President, Frank will work with Eurobitume President Frédérique Cointe (ExxonMobil), Treasurer Dave Foster (Shell) and Eurobitume Director General Siobhan McKelvey, driving Eurobitume forward as the first reference for bitumen in Europe.

On behalf of members, he will also champion the efficient, effective and safe use of refined bitumen in road, industrial and building applications throughout Europe.

Frank is an experienced senior executive in the bitumen, oil and gas industries executive, and has been with TOTAL for more than 30 years. He recently moved to their Paris office, where he is in charge of marketing, strategy and business development for the Bitumen business line.

Frank is a member of Eurobitume’s Board of Directors, the Member Company Representative for TOTAL and is also a member of the Asphalt Institute and Eurobitume Leadership Group.
