Initial members-only webinars prove popular

The inaugural webinar, ‘What is bitumen?’, took place on 8th June and provided more than 150 participants from member companies with a good, basic understanding of what a fascinating product bitumen is. The presentation was developed for a non-technical audience, especially those people from member companies who were new to the world of bitumen. After the presentation, delivered by Eurobitume team member Ian Lancaster, there was a lively Q&A session.

The second webinar, ‘Bitumen and sustainability’, took place on 22nd June and was delivered by Eurobitume’s Mike Southern. The target audience was again non-technical, specifically people wanting to increase their awareness of how bitumen plays an important role in providing sustainable solutions for future construction. Over 100 participants from within the membership joined this webinar, which also ended with a very interactive Q&A session.

In the coming weeks, the slides, speaker notes and recordings of both these live presentations will be made available to all members as a complete learning package accessible through the Eurobitume members intranet.
