Three new Technical Information Sheets

We have expanded our multi-language suite of popular bitumen and bituminous binders Technical Information Sheets (TIS) to 10, by adding another laboratory procedure to our ageing series and developing an initial two TIS within a new series on viscosity testing.

Within the ageing series, the new RTFOT (Rolling Thin Film Oven Test) TIS contains valuable practical advice and information which makes this laboratory procedure test, that simulates short-term ageing processes, easier to understand and conduct.

The first two TIS in our new viscosity testing series follow the same easy to follow methodology and cover the standard methods for testing Dynamic Viscosity and Kinematic Viscosity by capillary measurements.

Our TIS are highly appreciated by laboratory personnel as well as within education and training, where an increasing number of institutions are now preparing for web-based distance learning.

To increase the usefulness of the TIS, all ten are now available to download from the Eurobitume website in six1 European languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

We plan to continue the TIS in 2021, when we will also develop further technical training/educational materials for users.
