Eurobitume goes from strength to strength – Two more organisations join Eurobitume
Having already doubled in size in the preceding 18 months, Eurobitume continues to go from strength to strength after two more organisations - Rosneft Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of leading Russian petroleum company Rosneft, and GCN Suisse, which buys, sells and supplies bitumen - joined Eurobitume’s expanding group of members at the Association’s recent Spring Meeting in Brussels.
Eurobitume Director General Aimé Xhonneux commented: I am delighted to welcome our latest new additions, Rosneft Deutschland and GCN Suisse, into the Eurobitume family. This is a further demonstration of the value organisations see in being part of Eurobitume, where businesses can benefit from our wealth of expert advice, technical information, industry data and HSE guidance, and also be able to help shape the future development of the bitumen industry in Europe”.
Rosneft Deutschland General Director Brian Chesterman said: “With Rosneft Deutschland entering the German market as a bitumen producer and wholesaler, it is important to support initiatives that ensure the safe and efficient use of bitumen. We highly appreciate Eurobitume’s portfolio of valuable technical and HSE studies, guidance and advice, as well as the opportunities membership gives us to build successful cooperation with key European stakeholders and industry experts”.
Guadalupe Calienes from GCN Suisse stated: “We are pleased to be part of Eurobitume as European-produced bitumen, with its high technical standards and environmental safeguards, is one of the commodities we trade and deliver.
“Being able to draw upon Eurobitume’s wealth of technical and HSE expertise and experience will be very beneficial for us.”
As well as developing and communicating industry positions on important technical, HSE and regulatory issues, Eurobitume promotes the efficient, effective and safe use of refined bitumen and is the strong voice of the bitumen industry in Europe.
