Technical

Eurobitume’s Technical Committee brings together experts drawn from member organisations across Europe. Further specialist task forces and working groups are also formed to address specific, current, technical issues and Eurobitume’s technical agenda is led by its Technical Director, Mike Southern.

The work of Eurobitume’s Technical Committee includes establishing the European bitumen industry position on matters such as performance-based standards, specifications, binder selection systems and characterisation tools.

The committee has recently published Eurobitume’s Data Collection Report, concluding a major initiative to collate data on the most commonly used test methods for the purpose of development of new performance related specifications for the more complex, high performance, polymer modified bitumens.
